My med aid has the same process, but luckily approves it for 12 months.

Enbrel got my neck moving and Humia has kept it that way.

Yes I am very fortunate. I know it is very expensive and I consider myself lucky to have the benefit. Not sure though for how long they will accept as they only approve it for about 4 months at a time. Then the SARAA (South Africa Rheumatoid Arthritis Association) has a panel that decide and recommend based on blood test results and my Rheumy's report where after it is send to the medical aid. They in turn also have a forum that meets to discuss and only then it is approved. Like I say - this has to happen every 4 months. Quite a process.

I'm also coping well on it. Do all of your medical aids pay for the Enbrel?
