Thank you I done a lot of research I think I will do the reconsideration myself going to work on it today because I know now I left a lot out on my application they already pretty much deemed me disabled saying I can't do my last job but pointed out 1 job from my past I could do just need to prove I can't do that one so it shouldn't be too hard Ha!!Ha !! I can't barely make it though 8 hours at home doing nothing they are just understanding RA or not thank you everyone for your support I don't know what I would do without my Ra family much love โค๏ธ hugs ๐ค PS things have changed I bet over the years they don't want to give us our money
Sheri, I'm sorry this is happening but it seems to be the norm now. I wish I had gotten a lawyer sooner. I've been fighting for almost 3 years. My recommendation is to get a lawyer. Their fee is set by the government, it's $6000 and if you don't get it they don't get paid. The fee comes out of the back pay you would receive. The office I was dealing with was so back logged that my case was sent to another state. It is very hard to go through this process. It is frustrating and it only makes our symptoms worse. I now have to go to a psychologist and another DDS doctor (again I already saw one about 2 years ago).
Hi @A myRAteam Member. I'm also trying to get ssdi benefits. I've been denied twice and am awaiting an appeal before a judge. My advice is make copies of all forms you fill out because every time you appeal the exact same paperwork has to be filled out again. It's is a frustrating process. I've been sent to see their psychiatrist.... Not even a regular medical doctor. But I'm "smart enough" to train or learn another job.Ha! I'd love to if that training supplied the strength to get through more than a 2hr stretch. Which is about all I can hold up to at one time. And just WHO would hire someone with that stamina!?!
Sherri .....anxious to know it worked this time!!
Age? I am 75 now....mentally much younger! We do what we need to do! And lately, I don't do much! If you become homeless let me know and I will move you in. Can't handle 2 husbands so he would be on his own! ๐ค
