I recently went to Cabo de San Jose Mexico. I was able to climb stairs with ease, walk on the beach and move without difficulties. I was amazed at the difference in my joints. When I returned home I had difficulty walking up stairs etc. I am seriously considering renting a house in a warm dry climate in the winter months.

Members overwhelmingly confirmed that their rheumatoid arthritis symptoms improved dramatically in warm, dry climates, with many describing easier movement, less pain, and greater flexibility while visiting or living in places like Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, and Spain. Several members shared that they have already relocated or are seriously considering moving to warmer areas to escape the cold, damp weather that worsens joint pain, with some noting that while dry heat is ideal, even humid warmth can be preferable to harsh winters. A recurring theme was the comparison of feeling like a different person in the warmth versus struggling with stairs and daily activities back home in colder climates.

I moved from Minnesota to Houston Texas for this reason. My pain became unbearable in the bitter winters. The Houston humidity can be rough in the summer but it is so worth it not to have winter.

Yes! I lived in the Philadelphia PA area until 7 yrs ago when we had to relocate to the Memphis TN area. I was diagnosed almost a year ago but had undiagnosed symptoms for years. I've been saying since we got here that I just "feel" better. I still have issues but not as severe as they felt in colder weather. Here's hoping that stays! Good luck!
