What Is The General Time Frame For Shingles? When Can I Start Feeling Better?

I am starting my 4th week of shingles. Can anyone tell me when the sharp epains and creepy crawly sensations under the skin will go away?

hopefully you got to your doctor immediately and got on some meds. The earlier you start the earlier and better results you will have. Can't give you a time frame. I would think that if you started on meds right away you should be getting some relief after this long. If you haven't, call your doctor.

It takes a while, but it will eventually go away - do not fear! Try some Tea Tree Oil on the tingly bits, or something like Elizabeth Annes arnica gel for babies ............................ the pain - that's another story but it wil also go away..................................then you spend the rest of your life praying you never get it again....
thinking of you, been there

I’ve had the shingles for 7 weeks now with no blisters. My doctor told me this happens sometimes for months before the blisters appear. I just wanted everyone to know in case they have the pain but no blisters.
