Yes it can. I have to take Restasis for dry eye, caused by none other than inflammation. I made an appt with my eye doc because I started seeing halos all day, and they were worse at night. unfortunately now I must wear my glasses more than my contacts. My Rheumy says this symptom is actually common! - who knew!
Also there are side effects on your eyes from some RA medications (e.g. plaqunil).

Yes, RA in general can affect your vision. Also, many RA meds can affect your vision causing cataracts or astigmatism. Watch out if you take prednisone or plaquenil. Both are commonly known to cause eye problems. Other meds may also cause dry eyes or floaters. Definitely talk to your Rheumy about going to an eye specialist that knows about rheumatic diseases - get tested sooner than later - and at least annually.

Yep, quite a few RA meds can impact on eyes so it's important to get regular eye tests. My Rheumy recommends an eye tests every 12 mths, or sooner if I feel the need. I too get a feeling of dry eyes which can be caused by RA, other similar autoimmune (Srojgen's), or as a side effect of your meds.
