Has any one ever experienced rib pain. I have been feeling bad in general, lots of pain in knees and shoulders and hands, but has anyone had issues with rib pain? Very sore to touch.

Members connected over the frustrating experience of rib pain, with many confirming they have experienced similar soreness on one or both sides, sharp stabbing sensations, or tenderness at the sternum, often suspecting it was related to rheumatoid arthritis or fibromyalgia. Several members shared that their rib pain was temporary, lasting about a week, while others mentioned specific diagnoses like costochondritis or pleurisy, with one member finding relief through antibiotics after discovering a lung lining infection. A recurring theme was the uncertainty of whether the pain stemmed from RA, fibromyalgia, or another condition, with members offering each other reassurance that bilateral pain often signals an autoimmune flare and encouraging self-care during painful episodes.

I have it. I always thought it was due to my fibromyalgia.

Look up costochondritis...this is very common with fibromyalgia...maybe RA as well? I have it pretty often but never until I started showing signs of fibro.

@A myRAteam Member, I have never been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. It was quite strange. It was so sore, on both sides, more towards the back or side area. It only lasted about a week, but was very annoying.

@A myRAteam Member, yes, I get rib pain intermittently. Fortunately the pain doesn't last though.
