Members shared their experiences with switching from methotrexate tablets to injections, particularly the Rasuvo pen, with several noting that while injections often cause fewer stomach side effects than pills, they can still bring fatigue and other reactions. Many members emphasized that everyone responds differently to the same medication, offering both cautionary tales of hair loss and feelings of being unsettled alongside encouraging stories of the injections working better than pills. A recurring theme was practical advice like taking folic acid to help counter side effects, being patient as the medication takes several weeks to build up in your system, and advocating with insurance if the pen is not covered.

I inject once a week, dr. prescribed the rasuvo pen Insurance wouldn't pay for it. From what I read/researched its just methotrexate in a easier to use pen. I tried taking methotrexate in pill form, but I had so much stomach cramping and nausea. Injections just work better for me. But its all the same medicine. Remember we all react differently to the same medications. So what others may experience does not mean you will. Good Luck

It will take a few weeks to get into your system before you see if they're going to benefit from them. Good luck.
