Yes,I have Osteopenia & RA so I have a shot of Prolia every 6 mos. No side effects so far with the four I've had. I do feel a bit more tired the next day but then I'm always tired..lol.
My Osteo was caused by long term Prednisone- took Fosimax pills for a five years and quit- Prolia helps the wife- don't know why, but seems like guys don't get the Prolia, much?
Not as of yet.. I'm still riding the remission train, lol.
Wow.
God bless, if it helps any your story made me feel a little better about my situation.
Always figure that is my story/history can help somebody figure their issues out, then maybe there is a tiny bit of value through my suffering.
I just had my first Reclast infusion this past Monday. Because I don't absorb meds well, my calcium took a nosedive yesterday - and currently admitted to the hospital on a calcium drip.
Of course that's me. My endocrinologist (I work with him), is totally awesome! I have his cell # & I had a concern yesterday when they sent me to a floor without cardiac monitoring.
My endo has spoken with the doctors, my nurse, and he's been texting me, keeping me in the loop.
So don't take my experience on this - if some complication is going to happen, it ALWAYS happens to me!
Not sure I am goingbto take another Reclast infusion - might ask for monthly oral Boniva instead
