I have been advised to never discontinue RA Meds because the joint damage will accelerate rapidly. I have good friends with RA that have tried every treatment imaginable and just wound up in worse pain from RA. Some treatments my help some of the symptoms or aromatherapy my make u calmer but there is no cure for RA. Meds my slow it down but not forever.

I tried going homeopathic about 20 years ago with a doctor. He told me that I would get worse before I got better. I held out for 4 months and was so bad that my husband begged me to stop. I think removing toxins like sugar and white flour, from my diet has been much more effective.

I became gluten-free several years ago for some migraine issues I was having, before being diagnosed with RA. It has helped ease joint pain and lethargy. As far as giving up the RA medication, I'm afraid to do that...however, I have added Omega 3 fatty acids, Calcium w/D, Tumeric, and Glucosamine/Chondroitin as a daily cocktail of supplements. So far so good...my inflammation has gone from 36 (moderate) to 18 in about 4 months.
