Toledo, OH

For almost a day my right knee is in so much pain when i try to bend it which i really cant at all. I have to keep it straight so im not in so much pain. Any tips or info to why it would feel like this? My knee looks so deformed because i think there's fluid. Ill be calling my dr tomorrow.

Good and if the cold doesnt work, then you might be a heat person. Most people seem to do better with ice, but I have met a few who prefer heat. Doesnt make sense to me cause swelling is HOT with RA or any injury really cause blood is going there to try to fix it but it cant, so you need to cool it down. So its whichever works for you and gets the swelling down. Whenever I have used heat my swelling has gotten worse but ICE even if sometimes it feels uncomfortable at first, doest he job. Ra flair or God only knows what kind of flair these days, LOL. Have to laugh cause its always one thing or another.

Unfortunately for us, the swelling is most common with RD. It just comes and goes
The ankles, knees, and hands are most common. Depending on which helps you Ice or heat, could give you temporary relief. You may also switch from hot to cold for comfort. For some that helps. I like heat. If you have fluid in your knees, the Doctor can remove it. That also helps.
Hope that helps.
Blessings to you and yours

Nope, still in the same pain. Been trying to do a little walking which doesnt hurt as much as trying to bend. Just tired of laying down with my leg straight. Ill try a bag of frozen veggies.

Sounds like its swollen thats for sure. I have usually had to have a steroid shot in mine but try not to anymore if I can help it. Ice will take swelling down, as will elevating the leg. Course you might be all taken care of now?
