Yes, it took my pain, swelling, all my R.A. symptoms away after only 5 days of treatment. Unfortunately, all of my symptoms are returning to their "normal state" of pain and agony.
To give you an example, I have had terrible disabling shoulder and arm pain....muscles and ligaments involved as well. Even prednisone injections failed to help my shoulders...I literally needed help just getting dressed. Wearing jeans was impossible because it was too painful to pull them up and down...I was about fed-up! When I saw my Rheumy on the 11th, he gave me a 2 week sampler pill pack, on a whim, just to see if I responded to it. BINGO! I had a full week to be me...active, energized, NO pain, no anywhere for a week! Keep in mind I also use Fentynal 25mg patches every 3 days. The patches without the Otezla were ok but I still have pain.
I don't know how to explain it...I really expected no relief because I don't (that I know of) have any type of Psoriasis. ???? I don't know how or why, but it worked and I want MORE! Lol...I'm working on it today. Be safe and blessed ladies!

It's available in pill form only, to my knowledge. When I went to see my pain specialist yesterday, she told me that she had several patients who have had very favorable results! It is the most expensive drug for R.A. to date, but Medicare does cover it if you are approved through the tier process of your drug plan. For me, the co-pay alone is $230.00 approximately. They do offer help through the makers of Otezla so I guess that's where I'm going to start. :) Good luck ladies! I can't believe that I have responded so well! I never thought it was possible to feel this good!
@A myRAteam Member. This is the first time I have seen this drug posted! We are happy for you! It is amazing that it worked so fast! Is this an injectable or oral drug. Is it on your insurance formulary? Thanks for sharing!
