I have been on Methotexrate for over 2 yrs now. I have been having a problem with my voice fading out in and out. Its like you get that "frog in your throat" feeling. Has anyone else have this experience? It just started doing this recently, there are no sore throats or anything else with it. Just wondering if this is from the Metho?

I had that problem for about 4 months at the time I was diagnosed with RA...there is a little tiny joint in the lyrenex..(I totally spelt that wrong) in our throat that RA hits like any other joint in our bodies. It drove me crazy and I thought it would never end but finally I was able to talk normal again :-).
Yes if I talk more than normal or at the rnd of the day it can virtually disappear
I have that too. I can no longer scream. I lose my voice and it is otherwise hoarse. The worst is I choke a lot. So much so that I am sure I will die from choking one day. But I don't choke food, my throat just closes and no air gets in. No doctors I go to connect it with RA. But I have all the symptoms. I was told I have severely inflamed vocal cords but then I read about cricoarytenoid joint and RA. It is scary stuff. We definitely need to know more about it.
I'm sooo glad you asked this question!!! I've had this exact problem the past couple weeks and didn't know what was going on.
Thanks to all of you. I really thought I was going crazy.
