Bariatric Surgery

Bariatric Surgery

I am currently going through the required steps to become approved for Bariatric surgery. I am going to get a "sleeve". Has anyone had this procedure or something similar? Did the weight loss help with the symptoms of RA? Just curious

I caution with your knees. I lost 101 # in 3 yrs and found my tendons around my knees were like a worn out rubberband. I found I had to more careful when pivoting.

I have lost 27 pounds and I feel much better. For me weight loss is a must. Excercise can be tricky. My trainer has been wonderful in designing my work out plan based on how I feel dailey

I lost 60 pounds from oct 2014 to july 2015 while on methotrexate. My dr took me off of it but my knees and hips and ankles don't hurt nothing like they did when I was 60 pounds heavier. My ra dr said it would make a big difference and it did.

I lost 150 with RNY. I wish the sleeve was available then because no pyloric valve means no NSAIDs. It was a life changer and I would do it again.
