I'm Curious About Rituxin. Has Anyone Been On It?

Can you tell me if it is an infusion or a weekly injection? Did it work for you?

It is an infusion each one lasts 3-4 hours but the good side is its 6 months from the last one . They're 2 infusions done 2 weeks apart the another 2 done every 6 months thereafter

Rituxan has worked very well for me in maintaining my RA with low pain level while keeping active in out door activities and regular exercise. I have been taking the infusions for six years. I have no side affects from this treatment.

I have an infusion two weeks apart twice a year. The infusions are done at a local Cancer center and take about 4 hours to complete. I am given prednisone and benadryl intravenously prior to starting the Rituxan solution. This is the only time I take any prednisone. I do not take any methotrexate but I do take hydroxychlorquine daily.

I'm sorry to hear that! I hope you can get them to listen to you. Keep track of your symptoms and explain in detail why you think it's not working. I'm sorry they are making you wait so long. That stinks. If you are flaring really bad, go back in and tell them you're in pain. Maybe they can at least give you a steroid shot to get you temporary relief. Hang in there and don't give up! I'm praying they will listen to you!

I was on Rituxan, it worked great the first time (after the first 2 infusions) but it only worked for about a month, then the next round of infusions didn't work at all. It was painless and no side effects for me
