Today I've felt fairly good, thanks to my meds, Percocet and plaquenil. I did notice tho, that my hands are throbbing, burning and tingling when I'm at rest. I don't have carpal tunnel as I was tested about 6 weeks ago. The doctor who did the test said it was arthritis that is causing all the pain. My fingers, of course are also having the same symptoms as my hands. Thank you any input, I appreciate it very much.
My Dr. gave me a cream prescription Voltarin. I put it on my wrists, hands, fingers and wherever else aches. So far it works and relieves the pain.
It sounds like you are having a big old RD flare, are they red & hot to the touch? Another sign. I finally reverted to buying some good quality wrists braces for each wrist, that can stabilize the wrist & hand that are adjustable with velco for those times. But you should tell your doc that you realize it is 'The Arthritis" causing this pain, and you need something more for it. That's usually when the devil, but wonder drug, prednisone comes into the picture. You might need kenalog injections, or pill form of the pred. to calm this down. I sure hope this helps, that's why we are all on here dear-been there & done this many many times! Blessings & good luck~
I too have hand and digit joint pain, sporadic stabbing and burning pain. I take ink. Methotrexate nothing else, just trying to deal with it!
Most definitely on the eye exams. I usually do it twice a year.
Do you have yearly eye tests on plaquenil? You should but rarely get told....
