Ok, so I just started 3 new meds. I need to know what one is the one causing me severe constipation. I am taking Gabapentin 100mg's 3 x a day, Leflunomide 10 mgs 1x day and Tizanidine 20-40 mgs at bedtime. I have a history of being sensitive to meds that cause constipation and oh no, it is happening again with one of these. Any info on this is appreciated!

Constipation is a problem with RA. RA effects your connective tissues as well as bone. I take a probiotic, drink lots of fluid etc. It helps

I use an over the counter stool softner. Its way more gentle than a laxative. When I take a pain pill, I have to take one. Meds have too many side effects.

Hello. I take aloe pills to help with my constipation issues. Not as harsh as laxatives and you can take them everyday. These are the ones I take Ortho Molecular - Super Aloe 450 100 capsule. Theyre on Amazon. Take a look and see what you think. I ordered these after reading all of the reviews. :)

Thanks all! I started taking a pro biotic and drinking aloe. Also mural ax when needed. It is reassuring to know that r.a, can cause this and not in my head. Why don't r.a, docs tell you that r.a. can cause digestive issues? You have no idea how many g.i. docs I have been to for this issue. Digestive with pain issues. R.a. and adhesion issues. Ugh!
