Does anyone else get numbness and tingling in hands and feet? It started in my big toes and fingers but now is all of hands and feet and is starting to go up calf .. Dr said could be from RA but most likely demylination..... When I asked what that was they said possible MS could be caused from humira. Has any one had this problem?

I thought it was only supposed to be every other week also..The humira can be taken weekly by itself I have had negative effects to the dmards so we switched from enbrel to humira and started with every other week for the first couple months and now its weekly. Its the only one studied at weekly injections taken w/o a second line med and is safe. The nurse at the humira help ctr said its very common for people w/ severe uncontrolled RA that can't tolerate the dmards to take it weekly.
The numbness and tingling started almost a year ago and has progressed. I have only been on the humira a short time and only just started the weekly injections. The bad thing is I pretty much have to avoid every thing that could possibly cause an infection of any kind. I am now basically completely without immune protection.
I was told by my rheumatologist it is not related to RA. I was told by a neurologist it is peripheral neuropathy and Gabapentin can help. But my pillbox is so full already that I don't take it. During the day my toes feel like they are in a bucket of ice water and by evening they burn so much I use an ice pack to ease the discomfort.
Praying a lot.. Its pretty much all I can do.. But I can still walk and take care of my sweet grandbabies so I am very blessed! My husband and I try very hard to prevent any riakvof infection but unfortunately most people don't understand the words if you've been around any one that's sick or are sick or even feel icky do not come around!! They probably don't think its really that big a deal... So we are getting masks and an time people come around I intent to use a mask for my protection. God knows what He's doing and He will protect me.
I take humira weekly. Wasn't able to tolerate any of the dmards.... But she said if the first 2 blood test come back negative its demyelination and humira has to stop because it can cause it. Apparently some of my other symptoms with this point to ms and she is very concerned. I'm praying maybe its just B12 deficiency I can handle that!
yes, I also have peripheral neuropathy, but my rheumy said it "can" be from RA but that its not well studied /documented as a cause mostly because the diagnosis protocol has been mostly symptomatic until recently. They can now do a small nerve skin biopsy (neurologist) to get a definitive answer.
