Mine was definitely methotrexate. Once my folic acid was increased, a lot of side effects diminished or disappeared...

I wonder if it's the MTX and not the folic acid? I have all kind of GI issues, and folic acid doesn't bother me at all. I take 4 mg. a day, just a FYI.

I eat half of my dinner then take the folic acid, finish dinner and don't seem to have problems. I find that if I do that with the methotrexate also I don't get sick at all.

My tummy troubles got worse on prednisone and methotrexate. Don't know if folic acid has anything to do with it.
