Members shared their experiences using medical marijuana for RA and fibromyalgia pain, with many describing it as a highly effective alternative to narcotics and other traditional pain medications. Several members discussed the legal complexities across different states, including navigating employment concerns, waiting for legislation to pass, and the process of obtaining medical marijuana cards through rheumatology referrals. A recurring theme was relief and empowerment, with members reporting benefits for pain, sleep, anxiety, and mobility, while expressing hope that broader legalization would make this treatment option more accessible to others living with chronic conditions.

I do! I gave up all narcotics for it. I usually wait till evening and have a bowl. Sometimes during the day I'll toke a little. Indica is great for sleep and sativa is better during the day. Helps my fibro better than the Fentanyl patch. I sound like such a stoner. Lol

I have tried it . It's illegal here in florida my concern with even having it in our home is my hubby is an RN and works for the Gov . We are trying to transfer to Albuquerque Nm where they have medical marijuana laws passed . I'm praying we get the job , I really liked the results I do not use narcotic pain meds I refuse to get dependent on them . I won't use steroids either .

I know when it is time to use this for pain or for my mood. I get cranky because I am in pain. I have better endurance for walking and other activities when I smoke or use edibles. I find smoking works fast but vaporizing lasts longer.

@gailcapsin. If you are moving to Albuquerque nm presbateryian (spelling?) Hospital had an RA center that u get to from a referral from your primary Dr. Hope you have health insurance as without none of the RA Dr in the state will treat you. I just lucked out getting one to give me my diagnosis before she told me not to comeback due to no insurance so couldn't do biological.
