Members shared insights about the Vectra DA blood test, which measures rheumatoid arthritis disease activity, with scores ranging from 25 to 55 and most reporting that insurance covered the cost (though it can be very expensive without coverage, with some paying as little as $25 out-of-pocket through Crescendo's program). Several members described their treatment journeys alongside testing, including combinations of methotrexate, Plaquenil, and biologics like Cimzia, with one member noting that even a moderate score didn't match how severe their symptoms actually felt. A recurring theme was the importance of advocating for the test with your doctor, understanding your insurance coverage beforehand, and using the results as objective proof of disease activity when discussing pain levels and treatment options with your rheumatologist.

Mine just came back with a score of 47. I am not on any RA meds due to severe allergic reactions to steroids. I have had RA for 31 years. He is possibly going to try Cimzia. I really hope it works.
