Best Foods

Best Foods

My 81 year old mum has RA, she hardly eats. She is weak and in a lot of pain and discomfort. She is also depressed. She is housebound and immobile as she also has bad osteoarthritis in her knee but is not strong enough for a knee replacement.
How can I get her to eat? What are the best foods? Which protein drinks etc are safe? Soups? Where do I start? She won't see a Dr about it at the moment but needs to eat well.

Sensitive Scalp

Sensitive Scalp

Has anyone experienced a sore scalp with RA?
I do not have anything on my scalp that contributes to the pain. Physically, the outside of my scalp looks great. The left side of my scalp is sore and painful to the touch.
Thanks!

Has Anyone Suffered From Any Type Of Numbness In Your Hands, Feets, Legs Or Hands?

My left foot and leg have been numb since last Monday. Now my fingers on my left hand are numb and my right foot and leg are beginning to feel the same way. I had a cortisone shot like 2 weeks ago because I had been suffering so bad. It took about a week for me to feel better then this numbness kicked in. I'm not sure if there's any correlation between the two or not. I called and left a message for my Rheumatologist on Friday...their office was closed. They called me back saying to reach out to… read more

Flare Ups Related To Vaccines

Flare Ups Related To Vaccines

Has anyone had reoccurring flare ups back to back after they were vaccinated for covid with first two vaccines. I did for almost 9 months and now I am afraid to take the booster … worried my flare ups will start again. Although my Dr. highly recommends that I take the booster. The first two I took were Pfizer.

I also use compression gloves and the thera-wax bath. I find that they both help. Also use a CBD cream with arnica gel in it as well. I went to an occupational therapist who gave me hand exercises… read more
