I was on Rinvoq for about 5 months and ended up in the back of an ambulance headed to the hospital where I stayed for 5 days. I had a blood clot in my arm, and he doesn't know how my stomach wasn't perforated from my bowels being severely impacted. My fever was 103.5. My file has severe allergic reaction to Rinvoq on it now, but there was more than just this that it done to my body. You will recieve your prescription from a 'Specialty Pharmacy, and will have a representative from the company call you weekly or monthly to discuss how you're doing such as answering 30 or so questions about your pain levels, and movement capabilities. I found this odd to say the least. I'm not saying this will happen to you, I'm just stating what happened to me so you understand both sides of the coin. Everyone's body is different and reacts to things possibly totally different than the next person. What I am saying is do your own research, and take it or not take it based on how you feel about it, not because this person says its done miracles for them, or this other person says it almost killed em. Just because a doctor prescribes it doesn't mean it's completely safe and gonna work. I'm 61 and have been diagnosed with RA since I was 25. I have been on almost every RA prescription there is, including shots in the stomach, steroids, dmards, biologics, you name it. I am in stage 4 just so you know my situation as compared to yours. I wish you all the best! 🌹
Started it but what happened happens with all biologics…….for me. I get the little infections.
Ear infections.
Toe infections.
Mouth ulcers.
Then I have to go off of rinvoq while I take antibiotic.
Latest biologic I tried is tyeene (actemra).
On and off my third month now. Guess I’ll have to stop just like rinvoq.
Bear in mind I’m older. 70. Been fighting this for 60 years.
