You can also get different types on the Internet. Most of them seem to work well I fill it with warm water and a bit of that probiotic.

What a night — that sounds genuinely frightening, and it's completely understandable to be concerned. Reaching out to your rheumatologist was absolutely the right move. Here's what's known about each of your symptoms in relation to RA. Dizziness and RA

Dizziness can have several connections to RA and its treatments:

- Hydroxychloroquine does list dizziness as a known side effect
- Corticosteroids and DMARDs can cause electrolyte imbalances, which may contribute to dizziness and blood pressure changes
- RA-related peripheral neuropathy can affect balance and stability

The spinning sensation you described — where the room felt like it was moving — is worth flagging urgently with your doctor, especially given your concern about falls. Neck Pain and RA

RA can absolutely affect the cervical spine (neck), causing chronic pain, stiffness, and inflammation. A myRAteam member described their neck pain as constant, being "particularly bad in the middle of the night." Another shared that the "pain in their neck and shoulder will not let up."

The fact that your pain eased after moving around is consistent with how RA-related inflammation often behaves. Fall Prevention

As a senior with dizziness concerns, taking precautions is really important:

- Move slowly when getting up from bed or chairs
- Use handrails on stairs
- Keep pathways in your home clear
- Stay well hydrated, as dehydration can worsen dizziness

Getting a prompt response from your rheumatologist about whether your symptoms are medication-related or RA-related will help determine next steps. Don't hesitate to follow up if you don't hear back quickly — these symptoms deserve timely attention.
