Does caffeine cause flares for you?
Caffeine's effect on RA flares varies from person to person. Research shows mixed results - some studies suggest caffeinated coffee and tea may actually decrease RA risk, while decaffeinated coffee showed an increased risk in one large study.

Thanks all. I just started my medication journey. Been on leflunamide for last 2 weeks. Pretty nauseous this morning. I think I am reaching for something to bring relief. My ankles have been on fire and hurting for the past 3 days.
No flares, but coffee makes me have hot flashes! Lol
I don't see a problem with caffeine for myself. I drink tea and soda. As far as opiods, I will never willingly take those. Opiods are very addictive and I want no part of that. I have found medications that work for me. For R A I use Enbrel SureClick AutoInjectors, for Type 2 Diabetes I do Mounjaro Injectors, and for inflammation I take Celecoxib. Something is working very very well for me as many days I take either a small amount of Tylenol or none at all. I wish you luck on your journey and we are all here for you! We're all in this together ❤️
