Has anyone used alpha lipoic acid for neuropathy?

My medical supplement guru sister recommended it to me. It's supposed to help your cells recover and be restored while you sleep..that is something your body naturally does, but alpha lipoic is supposed to enhance that process. I can't say it's not helping... But my mornings are pretty good lately....not so much of that feeling like you've already been up for 12 hours when you first wake up.
I just ordered some on Amazon. Should start using it in a couple of days. My b12 levels are really high. I haven't talked to the neurologist yet, it was on the portal. It's high because of the specialty med I take for my neuropathy. It's prescription grade b vitamins. I had to up my dose because my feet were so bad. I hope this alpha lipoic acid helps so I can reduce the other med.
Thank you for letting me know Janiece!
I get blood work all the time to watch my liver levels by my rheumatologist and immunologist.
