They do make rails to put on the side of tubs, to make getting out easier. However, my daughter got us a shower chair and it has helped a lot. I do miss soaking at times, but being safe is really more important.
Do you want to sit in the tub or just get in to shower? I got a bedside commode (with arms) and put it in the tub facing out. I also got a hand held shower. Then you can just sit on the commode (without the bucket) facing out and use the hand held shower wand and you don't have to stand up or get over the side of the tub. I need help getting out of the tub if I want to soak. When my arms were stronger I could push myself up with them. Could you push yourself up toward the back of the tub with your arms and legs? I have a couple big pieces of rubber shelf liner that I put down when I get out, for some traction.
You need to switch to a shower. You coukd fall in the tub. It's not safe. I usd to lobe a bath but I had a bad fall and hit my head.
Ich komme aus der Wanne wieder heraus, in dem ich mich in der Wanne in den Vier Füßler Stand drehen, wie ein Hund und mit Hilfe der Arm Kraft hoch stemme. Funktioniert bei mir gut.
