I am seeking ideas for something that I can wear when in the office and have that chill. Open sweaters doesn’t need to be fancy but would like something that is arm’s length and doesn’t have zippers for appearance. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Hi Sue, I own several cardigans One of my favorites is from Eddie Bauer. It goes from casual to dressy. Check Croft and Barrow too. Hope you have a restful night 🤗

I have several long cardigans. I keep one at work. I also have a space heater under my desk. I just have to make sure to set a timer so I don't leave it on all weekend! my office was a sauna when I got back last Monday.. oops. My poor plants weren't happy with me either.

What types of open sweaters work well for staying warm in the office during cooler weather?

While the search results don't specifically mention open sweaters, they do share helpful strategies from myRAteam members about staying warm with RA. Several members have found success with layering approaches that might work well in an office setting.

A myRAteam member shared: "I always have some of the fingerless gloves with me in the winter. I have short ones and a pair that go up my arm. I found this has helped me keep my hands warm and less achy."

For office wear, consider these warming strategies that members use:

- Lightweight cardigans or wrap sweaters without zippers that you can easily slip on
- Fingerless gloves under sleeves for extra warmth without bulk
- Soft throws or blankets at your desk
- Small space heaters for targeted warmth

The key is finding breathable layers that provide warmth without restricting movement or putting pressure on painful joints. Natural fibers like merino wool or cashmere blends tend to be softer and less irritating than synthetic materials.

Since you're looking for something arm's length without zippers, a classic open-front cardigan in a soft knit would allow easy on-and-off access while keeping you warm throughout the day.
