This is a question for your cardiologist, but Im curious why you take D3
only once a week? Depending on your dose, it seems like a waste of time.
D3 is a great vitamin. Minimum dose should be 1,000 daily. Have you had
your B12 checked? You are on powerful medications that can definitely
affect your energy levels. Time to have a serious talk with your doctor.

I'm taking Folic Acid by prescription for Rheumatoid Arthritis because I take Methotrexate. It is to be taken daily because of my immune system; given that documentation by my specialist. I follow what the specialist says to me, no one else.

I also take the statin medication you mentioned. That is a very big deal and if you are experiencing any issues I highly suggest making a phone call for an appointment to your cardiology specialist to further discuss any issues you may be experiencing. I don't fuss when it comes to cardiology medication, I go directly to the office without question.

Vitamin D is another medication prescribed by specialist to be taken daily by specialist which I follow as they suggest for my medication routine. Every patient is different with medication routine; I have a specific routine to follow with medications that are given on a daily basis so the vitamin supplements are just an addition that have been quite helpful rather than taking a multi-vitamin. Always do blood work because of the various medications so it is not an issue in having it done.

"What supplements and medications should I take to help with fatigue from RA?"

Vitamin D and folic acid are important supplements for people with RA. Vitamin D helps with calcium absorption and bone health, while folic acid is particularly important if you're taking methotrexate to help reduce side effects. The typical recommended dosage for vitamin D varies, but it's important to have your levels checked regularly by your doctor. Feeling drained despite taking medications and supplements is a common experience with RA. While supplements can help, it's important to:

• Discuss your fatigue with your rheumatologist
• Have your vitamin D levels checked to ensure weekly dosing is sufficient
• Consider timing of medications for optimal effectiveness
• Make sure you're taking folic acid as prescribed by your doctor

Remember that supplement schedules and dosing should be personalized to your specific needs - what works for one person may not work for another.
