Back and neck pain are definitely linked to RA. I just had an MRI of the cervical spine, and it revealed several joint issues, including stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck) and facet joint hypertrophy (enlargement of the facet joints in the center of the spine that is putting pressure on a nerve). I requested an MRI from my neurologist since I have been having cervicogenic headaches that travel from my neck up the back of my head, across the top and down behind my eye on the right side. I also get tingling in my right arm on occasion. My low-back is also an issue. I had just X-rays for that but hope to get an MRI , which is more accurate. Definitely ask your provider about the issues you are having and get tested.
