Since you have rheumatoid arthritis, let's focus on treatment options specific to RA. The main treatments typically include disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) which help modulate the immune system and reduce inflammation. These are often combined with NSAIDs like ibuprofen, naproxen, or aspirin for pain management.

For immediate symptom relief, many find success with a combination of heat and ice therapy on affected joints. In more severe cases, your rheumatologist might recommend cortisone injections or even surgery to repair or replace damaged joints. A myRAteam member shares that morning stiffness and pain are common challenges with RA. It's important to work closely with your rheumatologist to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your specific symptoms and needs. Regular monitoring of your condition and adjusting medications as needed will help manage inflammation and prevent further joint damage.
