I've been on Orencia for years self injected now but it use to be infusions once a month. I have never had any side effects so again these meds are not one size fits all.....gotta keep trying til you find the one that's best for you. Good luck.

When considering biologics for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), it's important to note that different medications can have varying effects and side effects. Here are some key points based on my knowledge base:

- Abatacept (Orencia): This biologic might be a better pick if you're worried about infection risks, as it has been shown to have a lower risk compared to other biologics.

Given your age and Medicare restrictions, it's crucial to discuss with your healthcare provider to find the most suitable and safe option for you.
