Hi Joe,
My daughter just became a Black Card member at Planet Fitness, so we could gain access to their Hydromassage chairs. We went for the first time two nights ago, it proved to be beneficial for us both. It can be adjusted to work on full or partial body, you decide. My daughter also did the full body Enhancements room, where you stand up and the floor actually moves. I am not ready for that one yet. But the moral of this is, we both slept really well that night. It certainly is worth the $24.00 monthly fee, as they are open 24/7 and have an app so you can see when they are busy and learn how to use the equipment.
Before this, we used meditation to help us rest so the fatigue would improve.
I hope this helps.

Hi Joe! I try to manage my fatigue by just giving into it. Resting when my body needs it. Does this mean I just do nothing when being fatigued- no. I push myself to walk my dog, do a few chores that can’t be put off and care for my personal self. It all is a struggle- no matter what you do or don’t do. Hang in there, you’ll have days when it isn’t so bad.

Managing fatigue, especially related to rheumatoid arthritis (RA), involves several strategies that can help improve your quality of life. Here are some effective ways:

1. **Exercise Regularly**: Engaging in gentle exercises like stretching, short walks, aquatic therapy, and yoga can boost your energy levels and improve RA symptoms.

2. **Eat a Healthy Diet**: Consuming balanced meals and reducing sugar intake can help regulate your energy. Consider smaller, frequent meals to avoid energy dips.

3. **Practice Self-Care**: Recognize your limits and ensure you rest when needed. Self-care also includes setting aside time for relaxation and activities you enjoy.

4. **Seek Support**: Don’t hesitate to ask for help from family, friends, or professionals. This can reduce stress and help manage the psychological aspects of living with RA.

5. **Communicate with Your Healthcare Team**: Openly discussing fatigue with your doctors can lead to adjustments in your treatment plan that may alleviate fatigue.

These strategies, tailored to your personal needs and abilities, can significantly help in managing RA-related fatigue.
