I’ve had declining use of my right hand for 5-7 years before I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis (I’ve probably had RA 7 years before I was diagnosed) both of my hands continue to weaken and the joints lock up, the pain is worse now. The more I try to keep up with my duties for the house and my truck, the worse all of my RA symptoms get. I’ll continue to keep everyone who’s suffering and struggling in my thoughts and Prayers. Dianne712 yes. Eliquis 2 a day !! Have been on it for a couple of years. I have a great MD!!? He gets notes every time I see any of the other dr.s. Heart,Lung, Rheumatologist etc.So he can tell what's been happening... They all work togather.

My Hand Therapist told me to strengthen my shoulders, as this is where the strength for our hands comes from. I do round shoulder exercises, rotating front to back, back to front. I also use a rubber ball for my hands. Both have helped. I use rubber pieces to open things and have coffee mugs that my thumb can fit through, so I don't drop it.(99% of the time, I did experience the flying mug one time....that was a crazy experience!)

All my fingers are really twisted and deformed . It make it hard to do simple tasks and can be quite painful . When it’s really painful ,they are busy twisting further . I find I just have to do what I can and be happy with that accomplishment.

Hello all, I am seronegative as well and sometimes wonder if I have RA at all. Let me say your comments regarding hands has been an eye opener. I know all to well about things just dropping or flying out of my hands😅 But my hands very rarely hurt.? However my daughter has RA and she has very painful hands and she does paraffin hand wax and claims it really helps.
