There is no generic for Humira. The patent for it just expired this year, so I'm sure one will be coming eventually. AbbVie has a patient assistance program if you need help with the cost which is outrageous.

Hi, they are called "biosimilars," not generics, but, yes, Humira went off patent a couple years ago. I had no problems on Humira and was on the drug coupon program and paid nothing. But the insurance company found a cheaper way to dispense a similar version of the drug (or rather, a way for the insurance co. to save money), and they removed Humira from the approved drug list and put Idacio on it. It's adalimumab, like Humira, but it's made by another company. I have had skin issues and cervicogenic headaches (an issue with the cervical spine) since the switch.

Apparently idacio is the same basic drug as humira.I don’t know if it is a generic or not.
