The first 2 times, I only got a placcard; the next time I took the form into my PCP & she said "your RA isn't going to go away or get better. Why don't you just get the plate?" When I went to the DMV they asked me if I wanted both in case I traveled in another vehicle. I said yes.

My pcp told me the same thing (that my RA wasn't going to go away or get better), and signed off for me to get a permanent plate or placard. I only got the placard, but was offered both. I really don't understand why some drs are so hesitant for those who really need assistance
