Has Anyone Gone To A Hot Springs To Help With Pain?

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Portland, OR

We are heading to see my son this weekend and nearby there is a hot springs. I have made us a reservation as I had heard a hot spring can really help relieve joint pain? Has anyone gone to one and did it help?
Thanks so much!

Hi Deb - Yes - What you’ve heard is correct. I use a infrared sauna every morning and it does make a difference in my joints. I feel that they move easy. If I’m stiff in the morning it helps work that out. Have a good weekend and enjoy.

Go for it! For me, my experience with hot springs, hot tubs and worst of all, saunas has not gone well. I found them entirely draining, sucked the air out of me, passed out once, and in general felt wretched.
But that was me. Everyone is different.
Try anything available. You just never know what might work for you. And have fun!
