Oklahoma City, OK

I’m on Arava because Methotrexate injectable is impossible to get in my area. My Rheumatologist said not to take the Celebrex with it. I had previously been on Plaquenil/Celebrex before. Anyone taking Arava and something else? I don’t feel like it’s working. I have been on it 1 month.

Arava can take 6 - 12 week to work. Arava & Celebrex can raise liver enzymes if taken together. If that has been a problem for you that may be why they said not to take together. I take Arava, Sulfasalzine, & Enbrel.

I take Arava and Enbrel. RA meds don't seem to work quickly. They need to build up it seems. I also take diclofenac sodium delayed release to reduce inflammation. I am allergic to Celebrex.
