I say save your teeth as much as possible. I've always had dental work my entire life. Nothing is different bc of RA other than taking more care of my teeth. I've always gotten 2 cleanings a year, but I went into a long flare and miss my appointment. I finally got to a dentist just for a cleaning and it could have been better. I know it's expensive and I think it's awful. I use Care Credit to pay for dental work. You can make payments with no interest. Depending on your dentist, it could be 6 months-a year to pay off bills. Have you looked into insurance? There are some that aren't too bad. Good luck.

Dear Sweetpea,
I pray your dentures fit well and allow you to chew comfortably and effectively. May I inquire as to the cost of a full set of dentures? Did it cost you thousands of dollars to have all the teeth removed?
