He had Covid so he had to miss his Cimzia injections. I think that it will be too much medication in a short amt. of time. Anyone else been in this situation? If so, did you have a bad reaction?
He got his Cimzia on Tuesday, Next injection in ONE month. Gave blood to have SED, organ check and VECTOR DA. Results in @ two weeks.
I think that I will ask for a blood test first since he is due anyway. A blood test every THREE months.
He must have high inflammation levels. Your specialist knows best abt how the drug works with his many patients and getting results. Ive noticed the heavier dosage at start is usual with steroids and antibiotics. Even pain meds. I would guess it depends on his inflammation and where it is concentrated. Sounds like a smart move to get his inflammation under control. But if he has any side effects, reactions or fever etc, from the first dose - you should mention those before taking second dose. Ive not taken cimzia yet. But each one is worrisome. I hope that cimzia works well for yall.

I certainly hope that your Husband's Rheumatologist answers your questions. If your husband was taken off the Cimzia due to him having Covid, his Rheumatologist may feel that it is now time to give two injections close together to give his system a boost to get used to taking the Cimzia again.
I have only gone off my RA med, one time when I was taking antibiotics. I was in such a flare I never went off again.
No, I think that I was NOT clear. He has been on Cimzia since July. He missed a dose since he had Covid. I will talk to the PA on Tuesday (the 10th) and have her talk to the doctor. I am thinking that he should NOT get another set of injections on the 24th. I now wonder where the heck his inflammation level is. He is supposed to get blood work soon. I will ask for a script. Thanks for bringing this to my mind!
