I take methotrexate injections once a week and did have some hair loss but doc used folic acid and it stopped falling out
Now on methotrexate injections. Medication has helped tremendously. Also take folate, but NOT on the day I give myself the shot. No hair loss... maybe got some curls now...
Thank you for your response, any upset stomach? Wad the hair thinning noticeable?
I have been on Methotrexate pills weekly since June. Helped me regain use of my hands by decreasing swelling and pain. A little hair thinning initially, but not now. I also take Folic acid daily, so no other side effects.
I started on a imuran for 20 years, then went straight to Humira(b/c of my age they just thought to band aid the symptoms without the RA diagnosis, come to find out I’ve had this my whole life). No significant side effects for me with Humira. If you can avoid the methotrexate, I would.
