I have had ulnar nerve entrapment sense early August & it has become so bad my hands is useless & extremely painful. I have had steroid/lidocaine injections in my elbow & wrist & neither helped more then a few days. Will be having nerve testing & possibly surgery. Have heard surgery is not always successful. Is there anything else that can be done?

I also have ulnar nerve deviation in my right hand and is starting in my left hand. I went to physical therapy and she had me roll some putty back and forth the table and was fitted for braces on both hands And hard brace’s for night. I was told that they couldn’t do surgery because they don’t know where the ulnar nerve is compromised in my elbow or neck. I’m afraid that’s all the information I can give you. I wish they could do something with me right hand because the fingers are drifting so bad to the right and it’s getting harder to do things with that hand. I hope others can help answer your question. Sending you Hugs And Prayers 🙏🙏😇

Thank you to all for hugs & responses. I will find out where the nerve is entrapped on the 8th of Nov then my doctor can tell me options. I have had some pain from the elbows but it mostly seems to be from my wrists now. My wrists are almost fused. Only bend down a bit & no movement in other directions. Fingers are pretty messed up but I manage to write, type & hold onto most things. Or I did till the ulnar nerve thing. Sense I am not left handed it is harder to use it as my dominant hand would do.
