I Would Like To Hear From Anyone Who Has Been Treated With Infliximab Infusions.
If anyone has tried this treatment, I would like to know if it was helpful, what symptoms improved, and what side effects did you have.?
Thanks for responding and for the advice. One of my concerns is that I am at very high risk for (more) cancer, and supposedly this drug can increase that risk.
Hi Paula
I was on Remicade(infliximab) for 21 years and it was my saving grace! It gave me energy and helped with my pain and flares. In fact I was in remission for about 17 of those years. It allowed to work, go back to school, and be a part of society. I called it my "go-go juice". I stopped taking 2 years ago because I thought it wasn't working anymore. Come to find out I had adrenal fatigue. I'm getting ready to start it back up again as I've not had any luck with other biologics.
Don't be surprised if during your first infusion you get a little itchy or have a blood pressure rise. It's normal and the nurses will check your BP every 30 min as get started.
Be sure to take something with you to do. It's a two hour long process, but with success you'll be able to speed it up down the road.
Good luck! I hope it's successful for you. π
I'm Told Medicare Doesn't Cover Enbrel. Has Anyone Been Able To Get It Covered Or At Least At A Reduced Cost? Thank You!
