I get them every 6 months for my knees and get steroids shots every 3 months. They both help. I have OA and RA. I really like the gel shots. Minimal side effects, especially compared to the steroids. I also use Diclofenac gel every day. It all helps!

Yes dear. I had the Synvic injection in both my knees. It was when I lived in Phoenix, AZ and worked for an Orthopedic surgeon. It lasted approximately 20yrs!! Since then my Rheumatologist has injected my knees with lidocaine and steroids. When I get pain in my knees, I only have to use Voltaren. Hope you get reflief!

Thank You so much for answering.I had no idea these injections have been around for 20 years. This reassures me, knowing that this has been used for that many years.Thank you again. Take care!
