To try and answer your question Niki2, sadly there is no "best" medicine, injection, what have you for our disease. The best drug is the one that works for you, and this takes patient work between and your doc. In my 36 years with RA, this is the formula that works. Trust your doc, try the meds. In the meantime read RAWarrior, a fab website begun by a woman who has RA. It's so helpful.

Your kind words have really touched me and for that I cannot thank you enough. I live in NJ and I'm 52. Thank you so much for your prayers. You will also be in mine and I will thank Him for sending you to me. I hope you're feeling well and hope to hear from you again.🙏🙋‍♀️

@Kiki2. I don't have anything, in the natural. Not doctor, no medical training, no way to influence someone to give you the right med, so you do not have to keep trying stuff. I have not ability to even try to raise you up. I don't even know where you are, your question, your need, touched my heart. What I do have the ability to do, is to pray earnestly to the One who can do that and so much more. I just know one thing for sure. You do not need to live your life in a bed. I promise you, that in my morning prayer times, I will lift your name, earnestly, before the Lord, no matter how long it takes, to see Jesus the Healer, work on your behalf. Will it be instant, I don't know. Will you still have RA, I don't know. One thing I do know for sure, is this. You are going to have an answer to change this direction to a better situation, I am believing for you, to see God work on your behalf. Blessings from our Lord Jesus Christ!

@A myRAteam Member, let me first say, I am so sorry you have had to be in bed, for the most part, for 3 years. Wow! That got me right in my heart. I am going to pray for you, if that is ok. Niki, I take Enbrel and have sense a couple of months after my diagnosis in October of 2015. I am supposedly in remission, but I don't know, anymore, what that means, because I still have fatigue flares, just ending, I hope. It was for 15 days. It even still feels like it is close by.

At any rate, I'm not a doctor, or trained in any way, to answer your question. There are thousands of people on here, that know 1000 times more than I think I know. That being said, I would never tell someone any medication to take or not take, but I will say, that RA and its many biologic medications are relatively new, and they are not exact. What I mean by that is, I think they have to be matched to what the doctors find in your blood tests, age is a factor, in some cases. How you long a person has hand the disease, and on and on. It feels to me, like it is still kind of educated guess, in some ways. Many of the people on this site, that I have been blessed to read their story, have been on 2 or 3 sometimes more, trying to get the one that works with all of the components in your body. Now, that is a guess. You & your doctor, will find the right med for you. I don't know much about you, but your age, how long you have had this horrible disease, or if you have ore than one autoimmune disease. I don't know how it works, but it has something to do with things like that.

I will say this, I will be in earnest prayer, each morning for you Niki, until they find the right med for you. Peter & John, 2 of Jesus' disciples were entering the temple on day for prayer. There was a lame man there, begging for money or anything that might help him. Tradition says, that familles would set their loved one there to beg, to pay for his share of life expenses. He looked at Peter, wanting to receive anything, and Peter, looked at him, and said, "Silver & gold, I do not have, but what I do have, I will give it to you. Then, he reached down, took the man by the hand, and as he began to pick him up to his feet. Peter said, "In the name of Jesus Christ, rise up and walk." Now, think about it just a moment. This guy has never walked (or for the skeptics) at least, he hadn't walked for a long while. As Peter lifted him up, the bible says that his ankle bones received strength, and "he began jumping and leaping and praising God."
