I've been feeling great, and he hasn't changed my medication from the last Doctor in NJ.

Members reassured someone whose new rheumatologist requires appointments and bloodwork every three months, with most agreeing this schedule reflects careful monitoring rather than overkill, especially since the current medications are working well. Several members shared that their own doctors typically see stable patients every six months, suggesting three-month intervals may be more cautious than average but not necessarily a red flag. A recurring theme was appreciation for thorough doctors who stay on top of potential joint damage and medication side effects, with members encouraging trust in the process as long as treatment remains effective and affordable.

I would say that 6 months is the norm as long as you ate stable, but this doc insist on 3 months for all his patients

If you are on target he might be with the lab work. He just might be. I take methotrexate and Xeljanz so I see my doc every 6 months and labs every 6 months.

Thanks for the response, I was just wondering if this doctor was overdoing it. ๐Ÿ˜‰

My rheum doc does the same thing. Feels like overkill to me. That said, he certainly is on top of things, and I don't worry that joint damage will be overlooked.
