Members connected deeply over the guilt of not being able to fulfill their roles as partners, parents, and grandparents due to rheumatoid arthritis, with many sharing how supportive spouses help ease that burden even as the guilt persists. Several members emphasized that marriage means weathering rough times together, encouraging others not to blame themselves for something beyond their control, while also acknowledging the real loneliness and helplessness that comes from invisible pain and fatigue that others cannot see or understand. A recurring theme was finding strength through faith, focusing on maximizing good days without stressing over bad ones, and recognizing that true love means being supported through pain rather than feeling guilty for experiencing it.

I feel the same way! My husband is so wonderful! He gets frustrated for sure. But he does the best he can to help me when I need it.
Praying for you! 🙏🏻🥰

When I was first diagnosed with RA it was quite a roller coaster ride. There were many lows, but I never felt guilty because I always felt it was a temporary situation. Being married means you ride out the rough times as well as the good ones. It's part of the deal, so I don't ever feel guilty. Hope you don't either!

I completely understand. My husband is very supportive but there are lots of others who just don’t get it .They can’t see your pain so therefore it isn’t three.Fatigue is also a big problem and it changes your life drastically. One hand you feel very guilty and on the other you feel very lonely and helpless.

Well I have my furs. Unfortunately lost my husband 9 yrs ago. I yell at him frequently for not being here for me. I know he would be comforting at times. But life goes on.
