Members rallied around someone seeking natural relief for neck and shoulder pain caused by axial atlanto instability, sharing a wide range of gentle remedies including heating pads, warm baths with Epsom salts, and topical treatments like CBD oil, Tiger Balm, lidocaine patches, and Two Old Goats lotion. Several members emphasized the connection between diet and inflammation, noting that reducing sugar and carbohydrates while eating more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains helped them feel better, with some also recommending supplements like turmeric, omega-3, fish oil, devil's claw, and glucosamine. A recurring theme was the importance of finding what works for your own body through gentle movement, pressure points, deep breathing, warm soaks, and self-care rituals like listening to favorite music to ease both physical tension and emotional stress.

Turmeric, Omega 3 in food or supplements, fish oil, among others. Look at Arthritis Foundation website. Interesting section on supplements

I have alot of inflammation in my body, I take biologics, steroids, dmards, supplements but 1 thing I notice is if I eat the wrong foods, ie sugar, carbs etc, I do feel worse. Eating light, fruits, vegetables protein, I feel better. Good luck.

I often cut a piece off a lidocaine patch and put it on my shoulder. I also use Voltarol.

I find tramadol, is the most help with pain relief. However, I only take them when things are really bad. But it does make you constipated, so I have a really healthy diet.I also find carbohydrates and sugar cause me problems. jxx

Over many years I have had the most relief from drugs. I have also used a hand massager to good effect for my neck.
