Has anyone had reoccurring flare ups back to back after they were vaccinated for covid with first two vaccines. I did for almost 9 months and now I am afraid to take the booster … worried my flare ups will start again. Although my Dr. highly recommends that I take the booster. The first two I took were Pfizer.
I had a flare after all 3 of my shots. The first one was pretty bad, but the second 2 were mild. However, I also have a flare after a flu shot, after an injury, when I don't get enough sleep, when I push myself too hard, when I get my period, when it rains.... That's just RA, in my experience.
My whole journey started after the second vaccine...that said, I am an ER nurse and although the flares hurt like hell and suck,,I got the whole series...COVID is killing so many people that are unvaccinated. Yes, the vaccinated are getting COVID but it just isn't as severe and there are far less complications. I know this has been a hot button and highly political, so I am not discounting, blaming, or judging those who chose not to vaccinate (the arguments both ways are compelling and confusing)..I am just sharing my experience.
I had moderna 1 month apart in January/February 2021 and flared. I was nervous about the booster. I got the half dose moderna in November and did not flare this time. I've been very tired though the last 2 weeks but think I may have had a virus but not Covid. Was tested.
Thanks Maureen!
