Epstein Barr Virus And RA

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone heard the theory that Epstein Barr Virus may be to blame for RA? I had Mono as a teen and then a reactivation in my 20s. I have had tests since showing that I only have antibodies, not an active infection but from what I've read, it can hide in the organs and joints. I'm now 44. Just wondering what others' experience is with EBV. It's definitely the main cause of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome but I haven't heard as much about the link with RA. Thank you.

Many who test "negative" have IgG antibodies through the roof. Doctors say it's not significant, but they report all the symptoms - fatigue, pain, etc. I really think there is something to this connection. Some will think it silly, but the Medical Medium Anthony Williams has a lot to say about this. His theory makes sense to me based on my experience.

Cheryl123 - what vaccines? What do you mean they pushed it out?

Hi Beana...How are you doing ow with the Epstein virus...are those suppliments helping? I have never heard of those suppliments. Do they help with other thngs?
I had flares the whole week of Thanksgiving in my hands...one finger was so painful I had to keep it under wrap! Finally it all went away just like that!
Unpredictable.
