Fatigue

A myRAteam Member asked a question 💭
Paola, KS

Since last week, I have been so tired and taking naps every day. I was real after getting home from the city. Would this be related to my rheumatoid arthritis? I also have fibromyagia.

Members validated that fatigue from rheumatoid arthritis is very real and common, often described as hitting a wall suddenly and without warning, made even more challenging when combined with fibromyalgia or depression. Several members encouraged finding the right medication and vitamin regimen to manage symptoms more effectively, with one member sharing that proper treatment reduced their need for daily naps to only during flare-ups. A recurring theme was advocating for better medical support, whether by seeking a new rheumatologist who takes fatigue concerns seriously or exploring other potential causes like post-COVID fatigue or nutritional deficiencies such as low iron.

Any chance you had covid and didn't know it? That sounds a lot like how I felt for a little while after I had it. It got better but took time.

RA definitely can wear you out! If you get it under control with the right meds you will feel better. Sounds like you might need a new rheumatologist if she doesn't respond to your concerns.

RA fatigue is very real. Almost everyone in this group mentions it. For myself, it is like hitting a wall and comes out of nowhere. 🙄

I do not know. I have been vaccinated twice. I know I do not get enough iron in my diet
